Roz Seyednejad
Managing Director
Roz Seyednejad started her career in Project Management and Business Development, working with multinational engineering firms such as AtkinsRéalis, Fluor, and Hatch. A UBC alumna, she holds a BASc in Civil Engineering, an M.Eng. in Structural Engineering, and an EMBA from SFU. Her strategic focus and innovation-driven approach led her to establish Stratesol Consulting in 2011. This boutique firm is renowned for maximizing business innovation funding and the SR&ED program.
Roz actively contributes to various boards and committees. These roles include her current position on the advisory committee of the UBC Dean of Applied Science and past contributions to the BC Construction Roundtable, West Vancouver Arts Facilities, Hollyburn Country Club, and Mulgrave School.
Mahyar Sabouni
Data Scientist & Project Manager
Mahyar is a Data Scientist & Project Manager at Stratesol Consulting with a background in computer science and a M.Sc. in seismic engineering. With over 10 years of industry experience, he has held diverse roles ranging from structural designer to Back-end and front-end developer, UX designer, Database Developer, Data Analyst, and Project Manager.
With a comprehensive understanding of the complexities inherent in the Construction, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Tech industries, Mahyar has experience in navigating the complexities of Governmental grants and Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) programs and enabled organizations to optimize their R&D efforts, identify eligible projects, and effectively leverage tax incentives, contributing to ongoing advancements in those industries. He has contributed to numerous innovative projects, utilizing his experience with various programming languages, data analysis tools, machine learning and deep learning Models, NLP, computer vision, and AI to deliver tangible results across diverse projects.
Sean Parandeh
Technical Lead
Sean Parandeh is a graduate of UBC’s Integrated Engineering program, specializing in Mechanical and Chemical engineering. His background in project management & expertise in technical writing help Stratesol to prepare strong applications for their clients in a seamless process. Outside of his technical background, Sean has wide additional expertise in the arts.
Jadranka Talic, P.Eng
Senior Consultant
With more than 30 years working in urban transit, Jadranka Talic has a broad background in the study, analysis, planning, preliminary and final design, engineering, coordination, management, supervision, construction, maintenance management, and quality control of public-private-partnerships works; including marketing and business development, business plans, budget, and development of manpower resources and professional services to achieve the plans of the business unit.
Her experience managing large, complex projects provides a full understanding of the needs and engineering issues related to large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, including planning, cost estimation, contracting, tendering, contract administration, and operational control. Her knowledge and proven expertise in planning, design, engineering, management, maintenance, and quality control of large transportation projects are enhanced by her initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
Dr. Shannon Bard
Senior Consultant
Dr. Shannon Bard has over 30 years of experience in innovation and R&D in climate solutions, environmental sustainability, oceanography, ecosystem & human health. Shannon is a graduate of Stanford University, Université de Nantes, MIT & Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. She was previously the global Director of Innovation for the environmental consulting firm Hemmera and parent engineering company Ausenco and she’s currently the Lead of UBC’s Climate Venture Studio. She developed and launched a global corporate Innovation Program for >2000 staff to undertake industrial-academic-government R&D collaborations to develop and commercialize new science and engineering services to reduce the environmental footprint of industry activities and solve sustainability issues. Formerly, Shannon was a professor of Environmental Science at Dalhousie University, Director of the Marine Ecotoxicology Laboratory, and co-winner of the Senate Environmental Award.
Sana Khareghani
Senior Consultant
Sana is the Professor of Practice in AI, AI Policy Lead for Responsible AI UK, Speaker, Advisor, Former Head of UK Gov Office for Artificial Intelligence. Holding a BSc in Computer Science and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sana Khareghani has over 20 years’ experience in technology and business across the private and public sectors. She has worked as a software engineer in big corporations and start-ups, as a management consultant advising senior officials throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East, and in HMG, as the inaugural Head of the UK Government Office for AI leading the team to publish the UK’s National AI Strategy. Most recently, Sana is Professor of Practice in AI at King’s College London and AI Policy lead for Responsible AI UK, a £31Mn grant focused on seeding and connecting the international ecosystem for responsible AI research and innovation.
